The women’s game in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia provides a platform where the best players can shine and thrive – sustaining the steps already taken to establish the sport, while opening doors to new opportunities for girls and women whatever their ability.

Brief:
Tasked to establish SAFF’s Women’s competitions as one of the premier female football championships - whilst establishing and strengthening the growth of the game, giving the players a platform to perform, and to inspire the next generation of players and fans.

Solution:
We wanted to place the SAFF’s Women’s competitions as the one the top of the women’s game, a place amongst the games most elite competitions. A place where skill and technique meets desire and determination. A destination for football excellence.
We took what is identifiably unique to the Kingdom; the Palm tree, and built two unique yet complementary identities that embody both the expressive nature of the First Division and the elegance of the Premier League.

The Palm Tree is a symbol of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It represents prosperity,
vitality and growth – characteristics that embody our new league structure and ambition.

The palm has always been indispensable to our communities; a tie that binds, like sport and football itself. The palm has deep roots, allowing it to thrive, echoing the strong foundations the SAFF leagues will provide for the expansion of Women’s football in Saudi Arabia.
The values each league embodies stems from the representation of the palm; the Premier League a stage of pinnacle, peak and flourishing; and the First Division a platform of growth, progression and expression.
